COMPANY HISTORY
D&D Commodities Ltd. is a family-owned and -operated company with headquarters in Stephen, Minnesota (extreme northwest Minnesota, 45 miles south of the Canadian border and 13 miles east of the North Dakota border). The company also owns and maintains state-of-the-art production, packaging and storage facilities in Greeley and Pierce, Colorado. Dick Hebert is the president of the company and is the original founder. His wife (Carole), daughter (Tami Hebert, Business Analyst) and brother (Jerry, General Manager of Greeley operations) are all active in the day-to-day operations of the company.
D&D Commodities Ltd. manufactures quality products for caged birds, small animals, wild birds and other wildlife under various brands and trademarks owned by the company. In addition, D&D Commodities Ltd. provides product formulation, blending and packaging services for many private label and exclusive brand customers.
D&D Commodities Ltd. has evolved from a firm originally started to process various seed ingredients and commodities to a leader in consumer packaged products with sales and distribution worldwide. Founded in 1987, the company has rapidly grown from a small firm housed in a trailer to a multi-million dollar international corporation with multiple product lines and 90 employees. Its customers include the nation's largest retailer, large regional distributors, major grocery chains, smaller chains and independent retail stores in the grocery, feed, pet, hardware and lawn and garden industries. Its products are nationally advertised in both trade and consumer publications.
